Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect your information on handypros.org and in the Handy Pros app.
This policy covers the Handy Pros website (handypros.org), the Handy Pros app for iPhone and Android, and the My account customer portal. They are run by Handy Pros USA, LLC, 515 N Flagler Drive, Suite 350, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Questions: call (561) 486-6812 or email info@handypros.org.
Information we collect
- Contact and job details you give us: your name, phone number, email, service address, ZIP code, the work you need, your preferred day and arrival window, and any notes.
- Photos: photos you take or choose to get a price, and before and after photos our technicians take of your job.
- Account details: if you sign in to My account, your password is stored in scrambled (hashed) form, along with your sign-in times. We never see or share your password.
- Job and billing records: work orders, quotes, invoices and payment status.
- Website use: Google Analytics records pages visited, device type and general location so we can improve the site. If you came from a friend's referral link, we save the referral code on your device.
The app uses your camera and photo library only when you tap to take or choose a photo. It does not track your location and does not show ads.
How we use it
- To give you a price, schedule and do the work, send updates, and bill you.
- To show you your work orders, photos and invoices in My account.
- To answer your questions and improve our service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Services that help us
- Google Gemini reads the photo you send for a price, to recognize the item. Under our current Google plan, Google may use these photos to improve its services, and some may be reviewed by people at Google. Please do not include people, documents or other private things in your photo.
- SerpApi looks up matching parts and stock at Home Depot. It receives the item description and your ZIP code, not your photo or contact details.
- Vercel (website hosting), Neon (our secure database), Microsoft 365 (email) and Google Analytics (site statistics).
We may also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep job, invoice and warranty records for as long as we need them for your warranty, taxes and the law, usually up to 7 years. We do not save photos you send only for a price unless you go on to book the job.
Delete your account and data
You can ask us at any time to delete your My account sign-in and your personal information. Call (561) 486-6812, or email info@handypros.org with the subject “Delete my account” from the phone number or email we have on file. We confirm and complete deletion within 30 days. We may keep basic invoice records that the law requires us to keep.
You can also ask us to see or correct your information, or update it yourself in My account.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
