How the billing actually works
The first hour is a minimum, not an estimate
Every visit is billed at a one-hour minimum, because getting a technician and a van to your door has a fixed cost whether the job takes fifteen minutes or fifty-five. If your job is small, make a list — we would much rather knock out four small things in the hour you are paying for.
After the first hour, we bill in half hours
Time past the first hour is charged in 30-minute increments at the same rate. We tell you when we are approaching the end of the quoted time so the decision to continue is yours, not a surprise on the invoice.
You approve the price before we start
When you call or send the form, we give you a price for the work as described. If we arrive and the job is genuinely different from the description — the wall is concrete block, not drywall; there are six pieces of furniture, not two — we stop and re-quote before doing anything. You are never billed for work you did not agree to.
Parts and materials are separate
We carry the common consumables: screws, wall anchors, caulk, basic hardware. Anything specific to your job — a TV bracket, a particular faucet, a light fixture, shelving — you buy, and you keep the receipt and the warranty. It is cheaper for you than paying our markup, and you get exactly the finish you chose.
Payment is after the work
You pay when the job is done and you have looked at it, not up front.
