We screen handyman partners that you book and pay for directly through the Handy Pros platform.

Potential providers must provide detailed personal and/or corporate information, and validate their home service experience.

When a pro signs up to use Handy Pros in their individual capacity, Handy partners with Jumio to use computer vision technology to verify the identification credentials of the potential professional.

As part of our screening, a background check is performed on professionals who sign up to use Handy Pros in their individual capacity. The background check is performed by Checkr, an accredited third-party background check provider. Checkr’s search includes national, state, and county databases stretching back at least 7 years, and longer in certain jurisdictions. The purpose of these checks is to identify offenses that may disqualify potential professionals from using Handy Pros.

We understand the importance of having Our screening process for select small companies and/or franchisees, dealers, or independent contractors of larger companies is different to individual pros. Before using Handy Pros, these providers are required to provide their corporate information to Handy Pros for verification. In addition, we use Checkr to perform background checks only on the owner of the company provider to provide an extra measure of security. These companies may perform a number of jobs during onboarding prior to the owner passing a background check.
